Park Street Poultry and Game at North Market

Park Street Poultry and Game is under new management, recently acquired by owners Alex Daray and Lotfi Khomsi. In addition to continuing to offer farm-raised poultry and game, they will soon launch a quick-service restaurant at North Market downtown. Tajine House will offer freshly prepared Moroccan dishes – recipes and favorites from their homeland.

Although Alex and Lotfi each immigrated to the United States in 2001, it wasn’t until 2007 they met in Columbus by chance. Lotfi had recently opened Casablanca Market in Hilliard and Alex became a frequent customer. From there a friendship developed between their families – both are married and have young children – and they eventually began discussing a business partnership.

With Lotfi’s restaurant and market experience and Alex’ diverse business background, the opening at Park Street Poultry and Game was an ideal scenario for the friends to pursue that partnership . Within the existing Park Street Poultry and Game space, they saw an opportunity to bring Moroccan food to the Columbus area in a quick-serve setting. The North Market has a longstanding reputation for its diversity of cultures and foods and Tajine House will be a unique and welcome addition!
